Starting to learn how to sail will raise many questions. Hopefully you will find all your answers here.
For cancellations, a 24H notice is required. If you cancel last minute, other students wanting to attend will not be able to come, so please be respectful.Also zou will loose your prepaid lesson.
By car: From Geneva center, drive along the lake direction Evian. There is an underground P&R parking.
By bus: stop is Genève-Plage, lines 2-6-E-G.
There is a P&R underground parking under the harbour.
Cash on site, pre-payment via Paypal (Credit cards, bank transfer).
Traffic along the quais can be heavy. Please make sure you have enough time to allow for delays. I will accept 15 minutes delay, but remember that the other students will be waiting for you. Please call me if you think you will be late.
Boat shoes or non-marking soles, sunglasses and sunscreen, windbreaker and sweater, snack and water..
Sailing can be as physical as you want it to be, but weather conditions will dictate a lot of things onboard. Be ready to have to winch hard, move around the boat and help out with the general running of the boat.
If rain is expected I will cancel the lesson and let you know in advance. If a class starts and a storm approaches, either we return to the harbor or we ride the storm depending on actual conditions. Safety first!.
Not all sailors know how to swim, but it is generally a requirement. Lifejackets are available onboard.
Yes you can book a private outing but I will be onboard. I do not rent the boat without a skipper (me).
If you do not require a lesson but just want to go out sailing, it is possible. People can organize birthday parties, surprise parties, sunset drinks, etc. Just drop me an email.
It happens that some people cannot view the Google spreadsheet. Some companies block the access. You should be able to view from home. If you still have problems accessing the spreadsheet, please ask me for the availabilities.
